Directions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of grated ginger, 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala, 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, and salt to taste. Mix well.
  2. Marinate the Chicken: Add 500g of boneless chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight for better flavor.
  3. Prepare the Skewers: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Assemble the Skewers: Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  5. Cook the Skewers: Place the skewers on the preheated grill or in the oven. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a nice char.
  6. Check Doneness: Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 75°C (165°F).
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with fresh lemon wedges, cilantro, and your favorite dipping sauce.
